John Curtin Gallery
Engage with contemporary local, national, and international art in one of Western Australia's major public art galleries, right here at Curtin.
One of Western Australia's major public art galleries and one of the largest and best equipped university galleries in the country, the John Curtin Gallery is located at the Bentley campus.
Now in its 10th anniversary year the gallery invites audiences from within Curtin and well beyond to experience, explore and engage with a variety of contemporary art works.
The facility boasts three large international standard gallery spaces and an Access Gallery showing works by local artists and the wider Curtin community. Since opening in February 1998 it has presented numerous exhibitions of international, national and local artists including Bill Viola, Stan Douglas, Grace Weir, Joao Penalva, Char Davies, Ken Rinaldo, Victoria Vesna, Stelarc, Dennis del Favero, Tracey Moffatt, Nolene Lucas, Robert MacPherson, Alan Sekula, Sally Smart, Patricia Piccinini, Narelle Jubelin, Susan Cohn, and Brian Blanchflower.
At 'Artistry' in the Gallery foyer, you can purchase artwork, jewellery and textiles by Curtin graduates and the Curtin University Bookshop is only metres away. The Kirribilli Café, located in the forecourt, provides high quality meals as well as coffee and cakes during gallery opening hours.
