Curtin Health Innovation Research Institute

The Curtin Health Innovation Research Institute (CHIRI) is a unique and innovative facility that accommodates researchers, educators and health professionals. The institute focuses on the prevention and management of chronic disease and the provisions of wellness clinics to keep people out of hospital, as well as self-management programs to empower individuals to manage their own health care needs in the comfort of their community.

The institute places special emphasis on the chronic health needs of vulnerable populations, particularly indigenous peoples, the elderly and those with compromised mental health.
