Curtin FM

Curtin FM presenter

Curtin FM 100.1, the Perth radio station based at the Bentley campus, was borne out of the University's philosophy of community involvement back in 1975. Then, the station was considered ground-breaking for giving media access to Aboriginal people, ethnic groups and women. The station also offered our journalism students invaluable on-the-job training. Volunteer presenters produced the station's programming almost entirely.

Since then, not much has changed. The station has remained committed to serving the local community and volunteers are still responsible for a lot of the station's programming. Our students and graduates continue to land jobs in the field thanks to work experience provided by Curtin FM.
