About

We all have talents, ambitions and curiosities. But it is the way we transform our ambitious ideas into influence and change that defines us and the world.

As a destination for progressive thinkers, Curtin focuses on providing globally relevant humanities qualifications that value sustainability and focus on community development.

We embrace study that investigates and celebrates digital futures and that understands the crucial relevance of the arts and creative industries. We are also dedicated to flexibility, because we know that everyone has different needs.

Curtin Humanities encompasses three Schools: the School of Design and the Built Environment, the School of Education, and the School of Media, Creative Arts and Social Inquiry.

What are the Humanities?

The humanities refer to a range of disciplines that analyse the human experience and the natural world, and that encourage creativity, communication and critical thinking.

Our Bachelor of Arts degree allows you to mix and match majors and minors across disciplines to find the right fit for you, while our Bachelor of Communications degree lets you tailor your studies to suit your communications career goals – a valuable advantage for working in this diverse industry.

What’s more, our pathways into study means there are plenty of ways to be eligible to study a Humanities degree at Curtin. From education to architecture, from graphic design to professional writing – put your passion to work with a Humanities degree from Curtin.
