Nowanup Bush Campus
Curtin’s Nowanup Bush Campus is an innovative learning space set on 750 hectares of Nyungar bushland in Western Australia’s Great Southern region.
The campus hosts on-country education programs delivered by Aboriginal Elders and educators, and the bush setting enables a transformational learning experience that recognises the wisdom of Nyungar learning and teaching methods.

Nyungar Elder, Adjunct Associate Professor Eugene Eades
I feel honoured to be able to share Nowanup’s spirituality and energy with students and visitors to heal both the land and the people by taking this unique experience to the world so the world can become a better place.
Immersive experiences
Curtin students, staff and visitors travel to Nowanup for multiple-day immersions into Nyungar culture, learning about the historical and contemporary issues that have influenced and impacted on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
