Over the years, Curtin’s physical expansion has mirrored its forward-looking nature and responsiveness to the changing needs of its students, partners and the broader communities it serves.
Curtin is now a global university with campuses in Australia, Dubai, Malaysia, Mauritius and Singapore, as well as partnerships with more than 130 institutions worldwide.
Our largest campus, Curtin Perth, is located in the suburb of Bentley, about six kilometres south-east of central Perth. In close proximity to everything Perth has to offer, it boasts 116 hectares of bold architecture nestled amongst beautifully landscaped gardens. Thousands of students fill the campus grounds every day of semester, creating a vibrant, multicultural atmosphere. Over the past decade, the campus has undergone some major changes, with a variety of stunning modern buildings now interspersed with the original 1960s architecture. The majority of Curtin courses are delivered on this campus.

Curtin Murray Street, in Perth’s central business district, is home to the Curtin Graduate School of Business and Curtin Law School.
Located in a refurbished 1894 building in the heart of the Perth’s central business district, the Curtin Graduate Business School allows for close engagement with the business sector. Offering postgraduate courses in business administration and leadership, the school comes alive at night when students finish their day jobs and migrate to the classroom. Courses run in the evenings and at weekends.
Close by, Curtin Law School allows law students to undertake some of their studies in close proximity to Perth’s law courts. Students can gain practical professional legal skills in the in-house legal clinic where they meet with and prepare advice for small business clients, and can also take part in simulated court proceedings at the high-tech moot court facility situated within the building.

Our premises at 137 and 139 St Georges Terrace strengthen our links with industry partners and let us reconnect with graduates working in the area. At 137 we host short Professional and Continuing Education courses while 139 provides a space to present exhibitions host events and meetings, as well as engage with industry.
The historic limestone building at 139 St Georges Terrace was constructed in 1854 to accommodate Perth Boys School and is the oldest government school building in Western Australia. Although the boys school was relocated to new premises in 1897, the Gothic Revival-style building is still commonly referred to as ‘Old Perth Boys School’.
Perth Technical School began operations from the former boys school in 1900 as the industrialised world entered a new period of advancement. By the 1960, the college was at capacity and was re-invented as the Western Australian Institute of Technology and moved to Kent Street, growing rapidly to eventually become Curtin University. In 2018, Curtin began leasing the original building in St Georges Terrace from the National Trust of Australia to complement its city operations.

Kalgoorlie is a historic mining town in the Goldfields region of Western Australia about 600 km east of Perth. The town was originally established in 1893 when gold was first discovered there, and today it remains an important centre for the state’s mining industry. Just outside the town is the Super Pit – the second-largest open-pit mine in the country.
Kalgoorlie is the base of operations for the globally renowned WA School of Mines: Minerals, Energy and Chemical Engineering. Courses in health sciences, education and commerce can also be studied in Kalgoorlie through flexible study options.
Curtin Kalgoorlie is located next to the Central Business District, with student housing a short walk away, providing a focused living and campus atmosphere. The Student Guild is a focus of student activity such as the renowned WASM wombats mining team.

Curtin University Dubai began operating in 2017 and is located in Dubai International Academic City. Known for its incredible architecture, modern culture and futuristic vision, Dubai offers a study experience like no other. Students at Curtin Dubai have the opportunity to enrol in undergraduate and postgraduate courses in business, science, information technology, and humanities – all of which are licensed by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, Government of Dubai.

Curtin University Malaysia, situated on the north-west coast of Sarawak, opened in 1999 and was the first foreign university campus to be set up on the island of Borneo; a reflection of our reputation for excellence in South-East Asia.
The nearby city of Miri features modern infrastructure, excellent hotels and restaurants, comprehensive local and international banking facilities, multi-storey shopping malls as well as traditional stores and simpler craft and produce markets selling local specialties.
Originally an oil town, Miri is now renowned for its natural attractions and is becoming increasingly popular as an adventure/ecotourism destination. Miri enjoys the warm equatorial weather with plenty of sunshine all year round.

In 2018, Charles Telfair Institute, located at Moka, south-east of the Mauritian capital Port Louis, became an official campus of Curtin University. It was the evolution of a fourteen-year partnership with the institute, which had delivered Curtin courses to more than 2,300 students in the island nation.
Students at Curtin Mauritius enjoy first-rate facilities, high calibre staff, innovative teaching methods and strong links with industry practitioners. The campus offers courses in arts, commerce and the MBA Global.

Established in 2008, Curtin Singapore gives students access to a flexible, superb education in one of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities.
Curtin University has been active in Singapore since 1986 through partnerships with the Singapore Human Resource Institute, Marketing Institute of Singapore and the Singapore Institute of Materials Management. Prior to the establishment of the Curtin Singapore campus, degrees from Curtin were awarded through these partners.

The University of Aberdeen
The Aberdeen-Curtin Alliance was established in 2017, combining 500 years of academic strength, history and tradition at Scotland’s University of Aberdeen with the ambition and innovation of Curtin. It delivers high-impact research and innovative coursework programs across business, health sciences, medicine, engineering, energy and creative arts. It also incorporates the Global Energy Institute, to respond to the challenges and opportunities facing the energy sector.
Founded by Harvard and MIT in 2012, edX is an online learning destination and MOOC (massive open online course) provider that delivers university-level short courses across a variety of subjects to a global student body, for free. In some instances, a combination of selected MOOCs can form a ‘Micromaster’ which, once completed and verified, can provide credit into selected Curtin postgraduate courses.
To date, there have been more than 170,000 enrolments in Curtin edX courses.
The China Australia Writing Centre is a collaborative international program led jointly by Curtin and Fudan University in Shanghai. The centre brings together cross-disciplinary expertise from both institutions, including expertise in creative writing, literature studies, historical writing and journalism.
Curtin has signed an agreement with California’s prestigious Stanford University, allowing nominated business students to attend the Stanford International Honors Program. The annual, eight-week summer program gives students the opportunity to learn from leading business scholars and Silicon Valley entrepreneurs.
